Thanh is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies. Thanh's contribution to the School of Architecture was recognized through four Design Excellence nominations from 2020-2022, two Portfolio Book Awards, and a scholarship for Independent Research Travel Summer 2023. He was an editor of ISSUE, the school's student-run publication, and also served in multiple roles including Communication Intern, Orientation Leader, and Assistant to Associate Professor Uli Dangel. His professional experience includes work with local practices such as Danze Blood Architects and Fox Fox Studio.

Originally from Pleiku, Gia Lai, Vietnam, Thanh approaches architecture and art with a deep dedication to cultural preservation through design while committing to playful experimentation across various mediums and mixed media.
