Al Maldi Islamic Center is designed with both modern sustainable architecture and traditional features. This approach effectively combines past and present architectural styles to create a building that respects tradition while looking forward to the future. The multipurpose prayer hall, decorated with ornamental screening, contains a flexible and expandable worship area and dining hall that can double as a prayer hall expansion area. The center also includes a kitchen, separate entrances for men and women, and a children’s area. Special consideration was given to designing the transition space from the outside to the prayer hall, which includes a shoe removal area and ablution areas separate from the restrooms.
